The story
We follow two characters who have figured out how to survive in this new world. Is it a problem that they’re already dead? Tethered is an existentialist zombie graphic novel by David Faroz Precht that draws inspiration from The Stranger, On The Road, and every zombie movie ever.
The design
For Tethered, I did all the lettering, cover design and prep for print and digital readers, as well as the website design and promotional material design (banners, postcards, watches).
The lettering in Tethered is designed to bring the voices of the characters to life — from dynamic and frenetic to detached and stoic —as well as to convey the shifting narration throughout the story.
Custom paper watches
These Tyvek® paper digital watches were made in partnership with Berlin-based design company, I like paper. I created custom designs highlighting elements from the two main characters from the book.
